Queena Mewers
Associate Director of Academic Skills
UC Irvine School of Law
Introduction
Queena Mewers has been teaching full-time in the Academic Skills Program at UC Irvine School of Law since 2015. Before joining UCI Law, Queena was Counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP’s Orange County office, where she practiced as a litigator for 10 years, primarily in the areas of insurance coverage litigation and general business litigation. Queena also previously taught first-year Legal Writing and Advocacy at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law for four years. Queena earned her B.A. and J.D. from UC Berkeley. While in law school, Queena taught as an ASP Tutor and interned at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, the East Bay Community Law Center, and the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
Fun Facts 
Queena enjoys line dancing (she knows over 200 line dances!) and curling (yes, that Olympic sport with the rock and brooms).
